Hi anyone I am hoping for a little guidance on a decision on using either 
electric or hydraulics for a manipulator for my sub.I have been toying with 
the idea of making a miniture excavator arm scaling it down to be able to 
move 100lbs, as the pump i was thinking of using an off the shelf 12 volt 
hydraulic pump ,that is used on  steering system on large outboard motors 
and the hydraulic cylinders used as well..

As for the electric option i am clueless.
Any Input will be most welcome.Thanks.
