I watched an episode of "monster quest" last night in which the presence of salt water sharks far inland in fresh water rivers was investigated. I could not help but feel that the use of a small submarine would have extended the time of this search and provided the divers a much higher level of safety considering that which was being searched for. In one instance, the person topside could see a very large shark with a small sonar scanner but was unable to inform the divers below of its presence.
