Glen,

We just voted on a standard thru hull fitting that will accommodate the various underwater comms to include UQC. I would suggest you use this fitting as future use of it is all but ensured. I believe a club discount may exist for this device.
The broadband system I am providing uses 4 wires at present with future construction making use of but only two.
Someone steer Glen to the thru hull information as to ordering and specifics please.

Jim,        Lets ask Jens Laland! He seems to know this kind of stuff. I had a BQS-04 on my boat. Something to make note of...      BQS-* usually indicates "send".. that's what the "s" designates.      BQR-* usually designates "receive of listen" that's what the "r" designates.      The BQR-2 system was the system prior to the BQR-21 which my sub was equipped with and may be a stave (a stack of one or more passive hydrophones arranged in a single row.) In other words it may not be designed for active transmissions at all. You have a gem there so be sure what it was designed for before damaging it.      Jens, help us out here...                                                                                         David Bartsch   > Date: Mon, 18 Jan 2010 07:19:42 -0800 > Subject: Hydrophones > From: jimrudholm@gmail.com > To: dbartsch2236@hotmail.com > > Hello, > I have enjoyed your posts on the Psubs site and Doug and Kay's site. > > I have several hydrophones that were identified from BQR-2a sonars but > cannot verify that.
