David,
Keep in mind the warm air in the sub will
probably have rather high humidity. As a result, you will need to deal with
the condensation that will drip off the oil cooler. One of the advantages to
mounting the radiator inside the cooler is that the condensation just drips back
into the cooler.

Jon,
By not installing this radiator in this lid allows for it to be
installed elsewhere and should in very hot conditions maintain this cooler at
colder temps longer. To install this within the sub, this entire chiller can be
easily removed then reinstalled once on board.
The example was to be used in an electric car and space was not a
serious concern.
