Jon, By not installing this radiator in this lid allows for it to be installed elsewhere and should in very hot conditions maintain this cooler at colder temps longer. To install this within the sub, this entire chiller can be easily removed then reinstalled once on board. The example was to be used in an electric car and space was not a serious concern.
