Hi Vance. Yes, I've heard a lot about the fires, etc. As I understand it,
the newest versions of Li-ion's use a different chemical mix with phosphate or
something and the thermal overload problem has been eliminated.
Some of the mix is in NANO particles and the discharge/re-charge numbers
seem ....well....unbelievable.
Also the charge cycles.
I'm sorry I missed the battery presentation in Ft. Pierce. If you
remember I was helping Jim that morning. Still, the technology bears watching
for folks who expect to need a dozen or so batteries for what ever kind of
vehicle they're tinkering with. As it stands now, AGM's are the best option
available today if a guy needs them but the technology is changing
fast.
I wonder what GM is putting in the Volt ?
