Alec,You've made a good case for hiring someone to do the tows although I don't know what that would cost. We'd have to figure out how many subs want to dive and then work on a schedule unless we can find a local non-commercial boat owner to spend time with us and tow us in and out. There is definitely a good current in the inlet when the tide is rolling, however the dive spots are near shore and in a much larger area than the narrow inlet. We need to rely on our local contacts to give us more info.
Cliff has other commitments and won't be there. Last I heard, Greg's sub was still under refit. I believe Frank and Vance are planning on having both their subs available for static display, but not diving. This would be a good time for sub-owners to commit their attendance.

Hi Jon, Thanks for the legwork. Snoopy would need a tow probably even from ramp #2, but on the bright side virtually any surface craft can tow a K-250 so long as there are no currents. Even an inflatable with a small outboard. There are two things I'd caution about. First, if we rent something like a pontoon boat we are likely to find a clause written into the rental agreement that forbids towing. Second, could we find out if there are any tidal currents in that channel? I once had a rather hair raising experience trying to tow Snoopy under a bridge that looksjust like the one in the satellite image.I know Jim is planning to attend. Do we have any other subs? I'm in apretty frantic race to complete my refit in time.
