Re: [PSUBS-MAILIST] The last dance by David Bartsch
Brian,
I think Jim Koucorek is building a 1000 footer
http://www.psubs.org/projects/1234567814/bionicguppy , and that's what
I'm looking at for operational depth as well. I'm pretty sure Dean is
looking at 500-1000, but not confident about that. I'll probably report
on my opening reinforcement investigation this weekend, the results of
which I suspect you'll find interesting. I'd like to see the OSS (open
source submarine) project get footing again. Back when it first started
we didn't have many of the tools (sub related web tools) that we have
today and it might be a good time to bring back that project.

I have to agree with you on that I have spent many hours behind a
computer screen looking at the images from the High def cameras on the
ROV and you can never see enough it’s just not the same I can’t wait
to be there in PRV2 and see it firsthand I am envious of your time
spent below and the things you have seen firsthand, on another note I
remember a conversation a while back and you had mentioned having some
info on a K1000 that you where helping design with Captain Kittredge
would it be possible to see it? I am looking to build one personally
and that would be a great one I believe what a great world we live in
a sub at work to get paid to play with and one at home, My Girlfriend
said to me you build a sub and I am out of here! I never knew it was
going to be that easy, glad she can’t see my email LOL //
