Re: [PSUBS-MAILIST] The last dance by David Bartsch

There is something about "being there" that makes a huge difference.
Sitting in a boat operating an ROV sounds fun, but I am still
sitting in a boat. Sitting in a submarine with no view ports
is some how a better because I am there, even if I can't touch
anything and all my data comes from external sensors and cameras.

This week is the 50th anniversary of the Trieste dive to the
the bottom of Challenger Deep. One of the ultimate going there
just to be there journeys (for only 20 minutes!).

 - Rent a DVD
 - Remote Robot
 - Going there. <<<<---- I'll take this one.

Cheers,
  Ian.
