Re: [PSUBS-MAILIST] my optronic mast idea with sketch

Jon

I did not mean to indicate the use of a proprietary security system, but
rather using second-hand (or NOS) surveillance type of video cameras,
often obtainable through eBay, or otherwise.

Besides, I recently purchased 3 identical, brand new battery powered
monochrome 5" CRT monitors from a local close-out sale, paying $8 pro
item. So I stowed away two of them to serve as spare parts, whilst the
last one was totally stripped down, and now to be put into a new custom
built, sturdy aluminum housing, complete with better quality on vital
components such as potentiometers etc.

This special monitor is then planned to undergo operational tests within a
cold, but damp environment to see if its possible to avoid internal
condensation at all.

Personally I am not that concerned with some extra 2-300 mA, as my
intended use of an optronic mast is solely to improve my own line of
vision while cruising with a trimmed diesel at surface (for which I would
probably also need an air induction mast).

Best regards,
Jens Laland
