As with everywhere around here, the vis is seasonal, although there is less variation at depth than near the surface. I wouldn't be too worried about vis, though - it's not Howe Sound. IIRC, the best chance at viewing six-gills is on the Flora Islet wall during mid-summer in the dead of night. They are accessible to sport divers - 30 meters depth should give you a good shot, but the local dive shops will have more information on the tourist stuff. I have only done the six-gill dive a couple of times, and those were years ago - their behaviour may have changed.

Rick - we have six gill sharks here.  You can see them around Hornby
Island on night dives when they venture to shallower depths.
