If I can make it down there in 2010 I'll look forward to sharks.  My last adventure in Fla. in 1978 I saw zero.
 
Strange - maybe it's because of having read shark stories when I was a kid, but I have no problem with them at all u/w.  Possible exception of Whites and Bulls, maybe a couple of others.  But put me floating in the ocean without dive gear and I get really nervous.
 
We get Dogfish up here, the occasional Great White or Blue.  Would love to see some from a Psub.

Hi Rick. Florida is the "shark bite capital of the world"
I once saw an aerial photo of the beach in New Smyrna and there were hundreds of sharks within 100 feet of shore. This is right where they have the surfing competitions.
I saw another shot of a shark in a breaking wave with a young couple standing waist deep in the water just behind the shark. They were oblivious to the shark's presence. Ya, we'll see sharks.
