Ron, Thanks for your offer of recommending a hotel for us. We need to hear something from our Conference organizer as most of us try to stay in the same hotel. This makes for easing transportation issues and allows members to socialize in between PSUB functions. It is convenient if the hotel has a conference room available also. Ideally the hotel is centrally located to Phil Nuytten’s facility in North Vancouver and where ever we are going to make dives with subs. It helps to have a varied choice of dining facilities close to the hotel. R/Jay Resepectfully, Jay K. Jeffries Andros Is., Bahamas Save the whales, collect the whole set. From: owner-personal_submersibles@psubs.org [mailto:owner-personal_submersibles@psubs.org] On Behalf Of ronleonard@shaw.ca OK, remind me of the area of Vancouver you want to stay in, or what hotels you have been looking at and I'll see what I can recommend or find in the area. Aside from that, a nice spot is the Inn at False Creek. http://www.innatfalsecreek.com/. It's a decent place, central to most things, right on the edge of Downtown and very close to Robson St (great shopping) and Yaletown (great restaurants and brew pubs). It would be nice to know I'd have a way around. Steve McQueen Indianapolis, IN |
