Does anyone have a pointer to the ABS document that describes the 
thickness of material required when attaching a fitting, like a viewport 
thru-hull, into a hull penetration?  I believe that for less than 3/4 
inch material, the thru-hull fitting has to be at least the same 
thickness as the hull material, but I'm looking for confirmation from an 
ABS source.  I know ABS has that info somewhere.

I did find references to "Part 4 Steel Vessels" in the ABS PVO 
documentation, but that then led me on a wild-goose chase since that 
pointed to another document, and then to another, and ultimately I could 
not locate the info.
