Brent. It might be a good idea to add another connection to the high
pressure manifold, and connect an octopus regulator to it, so if you had any air
left after trying to blow ballast and it failed to get you up, you could breathe
that while flooding. I don't know how long it would take to flood a sub, but any
extra air you have room for can't hurt. An extra full size scuba bottle seems
like good insurance, in case you lose air with a leaky valve or what ever. On my
air system, both bottles will be connected to the manifold, but only one will be
opened, and when that gets empty, I'm half way through my air. Problem
is.....How much room do you have for extra stuff?
As I approach completion, I'll be having some serious talks with the more
experienced members on exactly what types of additional/standby components are
needed. Redundancy is a good thing.
The weather here is pretty shitty too, even got some snow yesterday
!!! Yuck !!!
I'm currently working on the rear structural steel frame, and hope to have
it welded up and bolted on this week. ( in between my honey-do list
) Then I can start on the rear soft ballast tank. Frank
