Hi,

Hmmm. 300,000 ton tanker verses 6,900 ton sub. That is
a 43.5 : 1 ratio. So if we are putting around in a 2
ton psub and a 87 ton boat cruizes over head. Might
have the same effect. 

How typical are 87 ton boats?

Having a chase/support boat on the surface with
constant contact with the sub is a good safety tip.
