I have a question already regarding control surfaces (dive planes). Take a look at the dive planes on Nautilus just fore and aft of the view ports and integral with the side strakes, #7 on the plan view.

Recognizing that this is a Disney movie design, does this look viable to anyone? I am wondering about positioning fore and aft of the lateral axis of the ship and hydrodynamic functionality of the shapes and positions. What would be the implications of a modification to the stern surfaces like this as in Peter Madsens Kraka?

Thanks
