See if there is a local blacksmith (phone book yellow pages) with a gas 
fired forge somewhere near you? I have used automotive tyre lead many times 
to set hand forged wrought iron hand rails in steps and walk ways using this 
method. You may have to buy an inexpensive crucible to melt the lead. Once 
again, look on line for Blacksmithing tools.

You can never beat "heat and beat" technology!
