Item Description:
Submarine Escape immersion Equipment Mk9 was developed to enable submariners to escape from a stricken sub from depths of up to 182mtrs/600feet. Upon reaching the surface, inflated suit provides protection from elements dramatically increasing survivability. The suit consists of a double layer all enveloping dry suit with a built In life jacket, inflating the front and back of the suit either through twin valves on the right wrist, or automatically by two *C02 canisters. The lifejacket is inflated by the large yellow valve on the left wrist. These suits are very warm even in the coldest of water (2 hours in a frozen lake with normal clothes on underneath) and are great fun all year round (be the centre of attention at fancy dress parties!)

The top hood is removable revealing a second hood and spray visor, Leather mitts are bonded on with a rubber wrist seal and a pair of removable thermal over mitts are stowed on the forearms with attachment strings. Other features include distress whistle, salt water battery with light beacon (approx. 20 hours life), rip cord to remove the outer hood. Adjustable foot straps, nose clip, toggle on lanyard, D shackle, stowage pocket and various reflective panels. There also is a inner thermal vest included in the package wrapping around the stored suit.

The unit Is packed Into small sealed zipped carry bag dims approx 12x12x7, weight 6.3kgs, Manufactured 1993, stored unused, as new condition. You will recive your suit unpacked and as new. 

*Delivery destinations outside of the UK Mainland will require that the Co2 cannisters be removed due to customs resrictions. The cannisters (Pictured) can be removed without causing damage or affecting the suits integrity and it is still possible to inflate the manually (which is ways the better method). The cannisters are the same type as fitted to standard lifejackets so getting replacements should not a problem (I also carry spares)
