Just incase your under the impression I made up the
code, it's printed in Appendix 2 of the ABS 'rules for
building and classing underwater vehicles, systems, and
hyperbaric facilities'.  There doesn't seem to be many
references to it on the web, but one web site was selling
something called "Bell Tapping Code plastic cards" which
may or may not be the same thing.
