One way to keep some awareness on this matter is to consider how it
might feel to achieve the status of finalist in the Darwin Award
competition through some design characteristic of one's psub.  We
all know what it's like to feel outside the crowd, but to be on 
that list is a bit much.  Likewise, it's always been my feeling that
this list is inhabited by persons who really do have a fairly good
intuition about what works and what does not; the problem arises
when exploring the unusual and trying to cut corners.  I have the
same feeling that this group really does know very well when one
is cutting corners.

That having been said, it's information that's wanted.  Most
of us don't have all the answers because we don't know the
questions just yet.
