Re: [PSUBS-MAILIST] List Proposal

Hello All;

I generally keep quiet, but I am a regular reader of this list. I don't know
if there is any real interest in having a web based forum as a complement to
or a replacement for an e-mail discussion list, but I have an unused
licensed copy of UBB (Utimate Bulletin Board 5.45c http://www.infopop.com)
that I purchased for a web project that has since dissolved. I will give
this to psubs free of charge if they are interested in using it.

It would allow psubs to host and run it's own forum without forcing members
to join a third party service like delphi or yahoo groups. It would also be
advertising-free unlike third party services. It is *very easily* web
administered and allows for moderated, threaded discussions in a
members-only (if desired) environment. It also allows users to post personal
profiles for viewing by other members (if desired) thus providing a user
list.

Let me know if you are interested.

BTW, any psubbers in Western Virginia? I am moving there in a few months
from the great white north (Manitoba).

Chris
