Re: [PSUBS-MAILIST] Running lights
Hi Mike,
I use a flashlight on Sgt.Peppers. Sea at the Psubs Picture Gallery
at my picture number one and four (near the stern not far away from
the stern vertical thruster tunnel.
Its made from a scuba-diver-saftey-flashlight - and normaly fitted on
my pressurebottles if I dive without the submarine..
It autonomus with a small battery like a hand-lamp and you have
to switch it on before you put the boat into the water. Its no
conection between the flashlight and the pressure part. I covered
it with the yellow-glas of a old-east-german-car-direction-indicator-
light-cover. There is a small hole on the top of the yellow glas so this
part is free flooding. The flashflight himself is pressure prof up to
200-250 feet maybe more. Made a bright yellow flash about one each
second. Is only helpful in dark or deep or dirty waters.
Runs about 16 hours with one new battery.
regards Carsten
