Re: Photocopied Busby Books Available

Doug and all,
I think I paid $40 or so for my copy when it was new. It is still
the most thorough of all the Busby'. You might not know that it is fashioned
after a book called The Deep Submersible by Richard D .Terry, PhD., who
worked for North American Aviation and produced the book under their umbrella
in 1966. Very interesting to compare the two. Terry's book has a few
operational subs and a bunch of planned ones----Busby shows what happened
over the next ten years, which is when most of the operational subs of the
day were built.
I heartily recommend Frank's book. He was a nice man, and would have
fit in very well with us idjits.
Regards,
Vance
