I have a copy of Mechanics Illustrated, June, 1950. The cover featured a submarine on tracks from Cortland, New York. The 4-page article has several photos of the interior and details of various systems. The submarine was built by Halley Hamlin, displaced 6,000 lbs. and had a 64 hour duration with one person aboard.
