It's been a while since I research recycling of the sodalime, but my recollection is that you can't get it back to 100% condition. If the material is cheap enough, recycling may not be warranted from a financial perspective.

When lye is exposed to atmosphere it is converted to the carbonate by absorbtion of carbon dioxide, but heating it in an oven can regenerate it by driving off the CO2 and reconverting to the hydroxide. Is that not possible with the commercial compounds?
