Re: [PSUBS-MAILIST] Herve Jaubert on trail over Exomos

I don't know anything about the trustworthiness of frogmen, or about Jaubert for that matter. I don't see the relevance of it, either.

As for secret agents, I've known plenty of those, and I haven't noticed any greater incidence of venality among them than in the general population - rather less, in fact. Not that that has any relevance, either.

I'm wondering about the facts of THIS case. It makes no sense to me that the plaintiffs would first buy one product, then buy two more, then invite him to move his entire operation to their country, THEN declare him incompetent, etc. You would think that they would have known his character and competence after one transaction, and would have had him thoroughly investigated before inviting him to establish himself in Dubai.

I have to confess that I also don't know anything about $31 million in debt. Who is the alleged creditor? For what purpose was the loan extended? Did Jaubert himself seek the loan, or was it sought in his name by a "partner?"

It will be interesting to see what comes out as people start to be deposed and cross-examined. The documentary evidence should also be interesting.

Best,
Marc

Hi Marc,
There's also the question of what happened with the $31 million in debt
Herve racked up.
I personally have a mistrust of French secret agents after seeing the
"Rainbow
Warrior" lying on it's side in Auckland harbor after being bombed by
French frog
men ( & a frog woman).
I believe Phil Nuyten was a consultant for Exomos, perhaps Jon could
extract some
insider comment from him at the Underwater Intervention Conference over
the next couple
of days.
