Hi Brian, I was looking at your mockup photo and thought you were referring to adding reinforcing over the top of the hull plating but I saw that you were making a ledge of sorts to change diameters I believe. Yes, I was talking about the thicker material around the base of the conning tower. In normal pressure vessels you are able to add reinforcing plate on top of the shell but in subs you cannot have 2 layers and the thickness must be made up from one plate thickness. I think you are already doing this anyway. 30 inches is pretty small . With your mockup you should also mockup a scrubber and other components as they start to take up a lot of your space. Are you doing it for one person or two?
