You'd probably need hydraulic rams to open the
door, but the pressure inside the
mini sub bay would have to be equalized to the
ambient sea water pressure before
you could get them open. This would mean that
you would have to have a hatch to seal off
the mini sub bay from the rest of your "Mother
sub". You would open the hatch, go into
your mini sub bay, close the hatch, enter your mini
sub, close it's hatch & have an
electrical device on board for operating a solenoid
valve remotely to flood the bay.
Once flooded you activate another remote controlled
device to operate the hydraulics
to open your large mini sub sized doors.
Then on coming back you'd have to have pumps to empty the bay of water
& get
the pressure back to atmospheric pressure before getting out.
Well that's one way you might tackle it.
