The BlueView is Ethernet. Not
sure about the scanning sonar, but most scanning sonars I've seen
are rs-232 or rs-485. BlueView has a nice C/C++ SDK so integration into custom 3rd part apps is pretty easy. If you really want to get blown away then you need to check out the 130 deg view angle sonars. You almost don't need a view port/camera at that point...almost. -andy On 10/6/2010 4:08 PM, Brian V. Could you tell us a little about the systems? Are these units displaying data on a laptop/desktop system or on a dedicated display? How hard would it be to get the data out of the sonar system for use in a third party application? Cheers! Ian. -----Original Message----- From: "Brian V.
