Re: [PSUBS-MAILIST] Does anybody have a copy of this book?



Convert was probably a bit strong, I was referring to the off the radar, secondary mission of the burial of Sir  Hubert Wilkins, which was done at the request of his wife. 
 
Great book and a great man.

Thanks for the lead. I will try to find a copy of that book, too.

Hardly a covert operation. It received publicity at the time - it was the first time a sub had surfaced at the North Pole. The nuclear Nautilus had only visited the pole under the ice, and because of iffy navigation equipment could not have been absolutely certain of its position.
