For our uses, $600-$800/gal. paint may be overkill. The real secret to welded on tanks is access. New-builds should look at making the MBT interior easily accessible for overhauls so that detailed inspections can be made and coating repairs done. Small access ports equal quick daubs of paint sometimes, and that leads to trouble.
