Re: [PSUBS-MAILIST] AGM Batteries

The design fixture limits your choices, so use the biggest battery you can stuff in there. Typically, that ends up being the smaller size of general purpose deep cycle batteries (about 85 amps at the 1 hour rate). Four of these will fit end to end inside the K-pod. If you are running 24 volts, then wire them in pairs. If 36, then 3 in a string per side plus one 12 volt tap for lights, etc.

Subject: [PSUBS-MAILIST] AGM Batteries

I am building a K-350 and the consensus from the group was to go with AGM batteries. I have spent quite awhile on line looking and there are so many options. I am using the 12" schedule 40 pipe for the pods so they would have to fit in those dimensions. There are also different amp rating and such. Can anyone offer some advice on what specific AGM battery I should buy?
