Thanks for your inspiring words of advice. I obviously needed to hear this
from you to dear come out and say:

I'm building a submarine!

Or more precisely, and with the inspiration from you all, I am building
all the cheap parts in and around a vision of a future pressure hull. And
I know that all my various prefabricated items (plus sketches, drawings,
weight calculations, mock-ups, etc. etc.), that all this, eventually, will
help me to come up with a feasible design of a submarine.

Finally, after all the above mentioned activities, my pressure hull will
simply have to be built. Because, as you so elegantly put it: "you will
never give up the project"
.
