[PSUBS-MAILIST] Sonar Calibration Methods
David & Co
I just found out that you can download a free, digital copy of the Summary
Technical Report of Division 6, NDRC, Volume 10: "Basic Methods for the
Calibration of Sonar Equipment" at the Internet Archive, ref
http://www.archive.org/details/basicmethodsforc00unit
This is one of the really hard to find 'Red Books' that was published in
limited editions right after the war.
However, it is still used as a reference book for people making/testing
their own sonar transducers. Besides, it is also very enjoyable reading
and illustrated throughout with photographs, sketches, tables, charts,
etc.
I have also included the above link in the footnote section of my
transcription, ref
http://traktoria.org/SONAR/transducer-calibration/transducer-calibration.htm#fn7
Best regards,
Jens Laland
