I'm having a blast with my once-per-week welding night course at the 
local Voc college.  Welding rod seems to be a lot more expensive then I 
had thought, and given that one rod (stick welding) doesn't go very far 
I'm curious if those of you who have built or are building a K-350 sized 
submersible can estimate how many pounds of welding rod you required 
(not including a trailer) for the project.  I know there are many 
dependencies such as project size and welder ability, I'm just looking 
for a ballpark estimate.
