Re: [PSUBS-MAILIST] Re: UnderWater Communications / Psubs Convention 2010
Dan,
That's a really generous offer, thanks. My comms situation is that I
have two Divelink surface units, but one has lost the ability to
transmit. It does still receive. I've got an alert set up on eBay to
buy any surface unit that comes up. If none has by close to the
convention, then I'll buy a new one. I do prefer the OTS brand, it
seems more ruggedly built. However the price is a deterrent. I should
clarify what goes inside the sub is one of the surface units.
I am researching connectors and will come up with a proposed one for
us to standardize on.
Of course I do hope to get Snoopy to the convention. No hope of
finishing the new boat in time, but Snoopy should be fresh from a
winter rebuild.
I think Greg may not be monitoring the email list but from what I know
he probably will have his new boat ready about that time.
What I'm hoping is that you'll bring your sub too!
