What amazed me about your guys is the patience they
had with us.
No bravado or condescension, no rolling of the
eyes or snickers, no tech gibberish unless asked. They were as polite at
the end of the day as they were at the beginning. They even floated for us
all day!!
I know from the PSUBS participants that that
particular human element made us all feel comfortable. And
safe.

For Jon and Ray:
I want to second Vance's very
perceptive 'thank you' for the 2009 Vancouver convention - Without your hard
work, persistence, and nagging - (Com'on, Phil, you promised, now put your
subs where your mouth is . . . ) it could have been quite different. The
Newtoids busted ass for you guys cuz they recognized a shared passion, but it
was your efforts that made it happen - and I totally recognize that (as the
kids say).

I just went through all the picture sets and Alec's video on the web
site and had to laugh at all those expressions, ranging mostly from "Holy
Cow, did you see that?" to "Oh, man! Is that cool, or what?" I DID see that,
and it was definitely cool. Thanks Jon and Ray for all your effort. It
wouldn't have been possible without you. We had our very own submarine rock
star for a little while in the form of Dr. Phil and the kids at Nuytco, but
stars only shine at night unless the Director is doing his job. You guys
were doing that and then some. Thanks a million.
