You could then write some code Hi Al. You're kidding , right ? ME ????? write some code ????? Sorry bro,
but that is WAY beyond anything I could do. Besides, I don't plan on having
anything electronic on my sub except the CD player blasting out music.
Just kidding. Ya, that's a possibility. I was thinking I might go
with extra windows on the sides so I can see the dive planes, and my video
periscope should be able to see the rudders.
The extra windows will be nice just to see more, including the dive planes,
and I need the video periscope anyway so I can look back. I'm planning on
mounting it in a swivel type enclosure on top of the hatch.
The enclosure won't rotate, just the video camera inside. A simple plexi
dome and a hand operated swivel mechanism, and of course all the wires and
control rod must pass through a ball valve so if it leaks, I can shut it off. (
I'm a little paranoid about leaks. )
Monitoring a signal from the actuators is fairly simple, but actually
seeing the dive planes and rudders would be fool proof.
Ya, still working on that one. Frank D.
