Hi Alan. Good idea, an SOS flashing beacon would work well. Pretty much
everybody on a boat knows what that means. It could be possible to have a second
buoy with a reel and all the stuff, so that if someone found your flashing buoy,
and dropped a doughnut weight down the fishing line where it clunked onto the
hull, you could release the bigger buoy with stronger cable and have it lead a
grapple hook down to pull the sub up.
