Re: [PSUBS-MAILIST] DC motor control

I might be able to help. Can you tell me what kind of motor you have, permanent magnet, series wound, or shunt wound, and what the symptoms are. Based on your message the field winding seems too high. Does the motor run at reduced speed? Do you know how much current it draws? Is the controller applying the right output voltage? What voltage are you using?

I designed and built my own motor controller without any problems, so I have some knowledge.

Subject: [PSUBS-MAILIST] DC motor control

I am in need of help from a DC motor guru

Anyone out there have some expertise in this?

My propulsion motor is having a big problem with getting a
controller to work. The main problem seems to be I have too much
resistance in the field.  It is up around 200 ohms
