Re: [PSUBS-MAILIST] DC Meters
Hi Leander
What I'm looking for is a economical meter/ that will give me total power
produced on my solar panels and another meter to show total amps consumed.
(Both these need to be resettable)
I currently have a link 1000 connected and although its good, its not like
the old trace equipment that would give the amount of charge produced by
secondary equipment (solar or wind etc).
Currently depending on the shade etc I can be producing some 45 amps or 2
amps Which go into a 3500amp battery bank. My link 1000 gives me amp hours
consumed and hours remaining at the current drain rate.
But the big question is how much can the panels produce daily or weekly in
real values.
Regards
Martin

Martin,
Here is a link to a DC Amp Hour Meter that can measure loads up to 100
amps for $60:
http://www.rc-electronics-usa.com/ammeters/dc-amp-meter.html
My company, Comptus Inc manufactures DC Amp & Watt Hour meters with higher
current ratings but the cost is around $400. If you need one for only a
month or so I might be able to lend you one. See attached specifications.
