RE: [PSUBS-MAILIST] Howdy from Miami!

"...I would be interested in seeing your NR-2 design go forward at some point..."

Time and opportunity, is what would be required, desire is already present.

NR-2 was shelved due to the logistical problems of my build location. (my farm 3 hours away by car), Note that the Sopwith's component shop in my Miami home, is 6 x 12, which is fine for what amounts to be a very large model plane, but quite inadequate for a 6 ton sub.

Still, in the time I've been absent from these forum sub "musings", I have occasionally "mused" on my own and have concluded that if I ever do in fact do this (a sub), that the most likely scenario is taking someone elses K boat and turning it into an Alvin Jr. (k250 or 350, either would do just fine).

Again, time and opportunity. Everything in it's time and place.

Still here, with the occasional eye cast in this direction.

Joe

Joe,

I googled it and found a number of sites that had that quote on there site, but didn't see any information as to which Brian Adams made the quote.

I would be interested in seeing your NR-2 design go forward at some point.

Brent,

That is simply brilliant!  Which Brian Adams is this? The singer?

I may very well adopt that and quote it as well.

Thanks!

Joe

Greetings Joe,

Funny thing, I came across the below quote just a few moments ago.  I think it fits the topic. I suspect the patience I have figured out how to maintain at this point, is what is keeping me partly sane. ;}

" Learn the art of patience. Apply discipline to your thoughts when they become
anxious over the outcome of a goal. Impatience breeds anxiety, fear,
discouragement and failure. Patience creates confidence, decisiveness, and a
rational outlook, which eventually leads to success. " ~ Brian Adams

I thought it time to drop in and say hello to some old friends! My daughter recently submitted a school project on coral reefs (Kindergarten imagine that!),...so naturally my mind took a little ride on NR-2! (frappr.com/psub).

To update you all on my own ambitions regarding the Sopwith Baby, my major home addition is finally in it's finish stages. I've been delayed nearly a year now as a result of contractor misdeeds (stealing), but such is life eh? Hope to finally begin sometime this summer.

Frank and Brett, I saw your reference to me last January, I miss you guys too, (insert sob here), wish I could build it all but, such is life again!

Been watching here and there, Nice progress on these projects!

Best regards

Joe
