Ray is in charge of the convention this year.  We usually start planning 
in February for the August conventions, but since 2009 will be in 
October I think he's just been holding off.  Almost April though so 
we'll need to get cracking and start getting hotel info, etc.  Since 
this is not only left coast, but also outside US, those of us on the 
other side of the continent are going to need details sooner than later.
