I heard some rumors about this one. The story goes that the owner and Lloyd's couldn't agree on a handling system. As you can't get out of the sub without returning to the ship (without sinking the sub in the process) then you have to have an approved handling system. The owner didn't want a bloody great crane on his pretty yacht, so the submarine is still sitting in storage somewhere. Or so they say. And yes, it cost a ton of money, I believe. Two million US plus!!!
