Hi, I'm curious as to if you investigated why the motors sometimes did not start?  Just too high viscosity?  Or maybe 
electrical resistance effects?

FWIW: I've mostly seen mineral oil used for pressure compensation, but most of my experience is not in applications with
fast rotating parts.
