Re: [PSUBS-MAILIST] Standard Weight

Hi James

My table for Standard Weight Welded and Seamless Steel Pipe states the
following:

Size Diameter Thickness Weight/Foot
       External Internal
10 10.750" 10.020" .365" 40.483 lbs.
12 12.750" 12.000" .375" 49.562 lbs.
(14)* 14.000" 13.250" .375"

*NOTE: From 14" OD there don't seem to be any Standard Weight pipe

** Hi Simon,
**
** Thanks for having a look for me.
**
** I just asked one of the places im getting a quote from and the guy told me
** these thicknesses.
**
** 10" OD = 9.27mm
** 12" OD = 10.31
** 14" OD = 11.13
**
** It must be some standard ratio to the OD. ?
**
** Anyway, 12" is coming in 10mm thickness. Should be ok.
**
** Regards
** James

** Hello Jim
**
** I asked the mechanical engineers in my office your question and after a
** search through the standards kicked up the withdrawn BS 3601 as the
** standard
** our guys quote and the replacement BSEN 10216 and 10217 which I can't
** find
** any dimensions in, I got the suggestion that trying the ASHRAE site might
** be
** worth a try.
**
** I'm sure somebody on the Forum will have the answer but I'll look in our
** library and see if we have a copy of the withdrawn standard in case they
** don't.
**
** Cheers Simon
