Do any members have any
information on Shaft seals, what bearings would be required and in what
configuration for a shaft that will be penetrating the pressure hull housed in
a cylinder/pipe.
One thing I am trying
to do is not re-invent the wheel. With this in mind I would appreciate any
information anyone could provide with regard to the way they have or intend to
seal your shaft and shaft housing and any other info you feel would be helpful.
I have been advised
that Double Mechanical Seals provide the best shaft seal but I would be open
investigating other options if anyone knows of a better alternative.
