Hi Brent. I have often thought about heat treating the hull to relieve
stress. I looked around a bit and I think the closest oven is in L.A.
I also thought about "hot-dip" galvanizing. There's an outfit in Hayward (
about 50 miles away) that has a tank large enough. I can get it "hot" sprayed
with galvanize, but it leaves a very rough finish. I doubt I'll go with either
one at this point, but I'm keeping an open mind.
