I know the end caps are a high stress area but they are also thicker.
A K-350 hull tube is 1/4 inch thick but the end caps are 3/8. At 3/8 thick
are they still the weaker link?
The K-boat through hull locations are where they are for convenience of
operation. It may be that even when they are located in places of higher
stress, the hull can take far more then it will see in service plus safety
factor.

endcap not punched like a stamp by a dozen holes),
Antoine and all you spark a question I have had.
My K-350 plans call for many thru hulls punched in the endcaps.
From my calculations the endcaps are weaker than the main cylinder
of my pressure hull.
Did I not calculate this correctly, or is there some reason for putting
the
holes there rather than main cylinder? I am confused on this point
It just does not make sence to weeken the already weakest link.
